Profile & Settings — Manage Your Account

Update your name, email, and avatar, switch between light and dark mode, or permanently delete your Video Downloader Plus account.

Your account settings are at vidow.io/settings/profile. Changes save per-field — there is no single submit button for the whole page.

Profile

Name and email

Two fields are editable from your profile page:

• Name — The display name shown throughout Video Downloader Plus
• Email — The address tied to your account login and notifications

Changing your email address

Updating your email follows a verification step to confirm you own the new address:

1. Enter the new email address in the email field and save
2. A verification link is sent to the new address
3. Your login email does not change until you click that link
4. If the link expires before you verify, the pending change is discarded and you keep your current email

Until verification is complete, you will see a notice indicating a new email is pending confirmation.

Avatar

Upload a profile photo from the profile settings page. Your avatar appears in the app sidebar and the account dropdown. Supported file types are JPG and PNG.

Appearance

Theme settings live at vidow.io/settings/appearance. Three options are available:

• Light mode — The default bright interface
• Dark mode — A darker palette suited to low-light use
• System — Video Downloader Plus follows whatever light or dark mode your operating system is currently using

The preference is saved to your account so it carries across devices.

Delete your account

The deletion option sits at the bottom of your profile settings page. You will be asked to confirm before anything happens. Once confirmed, the following is removed permanently:

• Your profile and all associated personal information
• Every video saved to your cloud library
• All connected cloud storage providers
• Stored payment methods and billing history
• Any active subscription (cancelled immediately)

This cannot be undone.
